Outsiders
Mechanics
Outsiders are from the Other Side, lands with only chaos and misery, with four unfamiliar gods taking control, each with a desire to destroy Authority's plan. Nobody knows for sure what the true scope of what's beyond the familiar lands, and the 15 Fundamentals would like to keep it that way. It is heretical to pray and live by the beliefs of the unfamiliar gods, as they desire to usurp authority and rule existence by how they desire, so do so is punishable by death.
Outsiders is a term used for several subsections of beings from the the Unfamiliar lands or Other side, while unfamiliars are instead being more closely associated with the four unfamiliar gods.
Outsiders don't abide to the laws of reality, and often times defy it by existing. Many unfamiliars through simple existence devour the essence of the realm, and those within it. Due to this defiance of the laws, substances like drugs, alcohol, poisons and toxins can work differently on them compared to a normal being, this also applies to peppers which seems to induce a high of sorts. Due to their threat the Golden Inquisition was formed by authority to eliminate them whenever the threat arises.
Unfamiliars are known to enter the familiar lands through several ways, with the simplest for them being Wrathbreaks scars left by Wrath's actions of justice, breaking the plains of reality and invoking it himself. Other ways has been through summoning by a mortal or cult into the familiar lands, or once a mage is under magic overdose, which leads to them either possessing them, using them as a portal of sorts. The 15 Fundamentals can generally stop unfamiliars before they enter the familiar lands, however once they get in it is significantly harder to get them out.
Faceless
Faceless are the most common unfamiliar within both the unfamiliar and familiar lands. Not needing food or air, and on par with a chimpanzee in terms of strength they are easily dispatched when alone, however are often deadly as they come in giant packs of them. Faceless canlbe, albeit rarely, attune to the unfamiliar gods, with these ones significantly more of a threat than the less. Within the chest cavity of a Faceless, a face can be seen, this face is often times identical to those living within the Familiar lands. A haunting connection can be made between them on the truth of the realm can be made.
Trespasser
Trespassers are large pale vaguely humanoid beings that consume the essence of those nearby, their entire existence wraps the environment surrounding them and molding it into that of the Unfamiliar Lands, thus their very nature is corrupting and highly dangerous to anyone not native to their unholy realm. As they age they grow more limbs, as well as strength, often requiring a Chosen Knight or the Golden Inquisition to be taken down. It has been known that bits of themselves seem to droplet upward, defying gravity completely.
Demons
Demons are outer beings who usually prey on human suffering. The strongest of these demons would gain more humanoid features as they feed. Some Demons existing within the mortal realm develop enough humanity within them to be able to co-exist with other races, and upon interbreeding produce the Hellspawns.
Devils are those demons who come from the Unfamiliar Lands with innate intelligence and sentience.
Greater Unfamiliars
Made by Magic of the unfamiliar gods, each greater unfamiliar are able to destroy if not dealt with. Often time needing a candidate and small army to be dealt with. Each greater unfamiliar resembles their creator greatly, and houses powers from their domain as well. There is 3 greater unfamiliars known at the moment :
