Trespasser
Monsters
Outsiders are defined as creatures that do not belong in the Familiar Lands; they are thought to be evil invaders and demons from other realms who will only bring disaster and misery to the local populace. An example of an Outsider would be trespasser; whose biology is unlike any known fauna and whose presence is completely abnormal. Outsiders are anything and everyone unfamiliar. The Familiar Lands are no stranger to dangerous creatures, but this one could be considered one of the most dangerous beings to ever exist in this world. As their name suggests aren't native to the Familiar Lands, they originate from the realm simply called the Unfamiliar Lands. If the air begins to have a peculiar iron scent, and objects start to float and vibrate in the air, that is a sign that the unfamiliar corruption is taking place, this is the trespasser turning out realm into a space that befits it, preparing it for other unfamiliars to invade and inhabit the Familiar Lands.
Trespassers are large pale vaguely humanoid beings that consume the essence of those nearby, their entire existence wraps the environment surrounding them and molding it into that of the Unfamiliar Lands, thus their very nature is corruptive and highly dangerous to anyone not native to their unholy realm. Trespassers seems to have bits of themselves 'drop' upwards akin to a reverse water droplet, they operate on independent rules of physics incomparable to the known rules and foundations of Familiar Lands. Trespassers are the boogeymen that mothers tell their children. When something seems off, when the world seems warped, it is the work of a trespasser who managed to enter. Through dissection, eyes are found inside their bodies, yet they could see like any other creature. Trespassers also occasionally lay eggs which are extremely sought after in the black markets for their medicinal use or to be used as a weapon against competitions.
Combat Capabilities
Trespassers are judged by the amount of limbs they have, seemly ever growing, with few being over 1000 years old. Ordinarily a trespasser would be rated 10 Menace Marks, but it can be as high as 15 for an Elder Trespasser. Trespassers have an impressive physique, incredibly strong and durable; it would take an entourage of Knights to defeat one, trying to defeat one alone is simply a fool's dream. Their muscles are incredibly dense and concentrated that they can rip a man apart without much effort. Just being close to one would cause them to feel as though their soul and essence were being slowly consumed by the Trespasser. Extended contact with a trespasser would cause organ failure and ultimately death. A trespasser that devours a person also devours their soul; leaving their victim with nothing but oblivion. It is thought that the spirits may find their way to one of the Unfamiliar Lands, although this cannot be confirmed. Many choose suicide over dealing with an entity that would so thoroughly destroy their existence.
Trespassers possess the ability to teleport to some degree, they emerge from portals cause by magics or locations with a thinner veil of divine protection. They do not seem to be capable of speech or higher thinking making them unable to use magics in an effective way, as they seem to be driven by their need to feed and corrupt the world to be more like their 'home'. Trespassers corrupt the space around to the point where close proximity would make one sick to the bone.
Due to their role of terraforming the world into their own image, they are treated as a blight, and seen as a being that much be destroyed at all cost. The inquisition's method defeat these monstrosities is to have a squad of Exalted Knights fight and hold it in place while mages behind the lines prepare for a magical bombardment, concentrating several destructive spells to obliterate the trespasser before any more corruption could happen.
Trespasser Heart
Each trespasser has multiple massive hearts, which are valued as an alternative medicine, a panacea of sorts, though outlawed by the Inquisition. A trespasser heart could heal wounds, regenerate lost limbs and even extend someone's life when consumed. . The most common known side effect is that the consumer will also be bestowed very unpleasant nightmares. As such they are extremely coveted regardless of the outlaw, and can only be found through black markets for an exorbitant amount of coins. If a Trespasser Heart is not prepared correctly, a trespasser's heart would alter the body of its consumer and corrupt them wildly.
When consumed the person would experience a flawed and temporary version of true sight, eventually the mind will shuts it off to protect itself from damages, however the effect to an Outsider or Hellspawn would be different, but unknown.
