Pascal Karrotte
Background
Father to Flayne, and a mentor to the esteemed Hunter Knight, he heads House Karrotte and participates in Grand Tournaments and Melees dressed as a Carrot Knight to promote his House's main export. Pascal currently employs an entire bloodline of Bunfolk; he spends every day trying to avoid their advances. He's also the leader of the Knights of the Stew, agricultural powerhouses of Carthigia. Pascal has surrounded himself with an assortment of allied houses which are House Garlik, House Potata, House Tomata and House Beauvine. They supply the kingdom with most of the food they consume, thus, should he perish then the whole city will starve. Considering that his daughter Flayne la Karrotte, and himself, aren't liked by any of The 14 Fundamentals and their Chosen Knights, this is a mutually assured destruction insurance plan if they try to do anything to his family, resulting in a begrudging relationship between him and the kingdom. He gained this hatred by the Fundamentals after losing favor due to choosing his humanity over his virtue, and his greatest mistake. For now he has managed to keep Temperance cults and the Inquisition off from his estate, but he knows this won't last forever, thus why he sent his daughter on her quest with Sancha Gobzales and the Hunter Knight.
He used to be quite a ladiesman in his youth, naturally however he's still a very flirtatious man, though mostly to tease. Back in his youth he was significantly less mature than now, often abusive to his squires, with Gabryjel being one of the few to even survive the endeavour. He had 3 children in his life, with 3 different wives. His firstborn is Siegfried Karrotte whom he conceived before marriage with Jeanne, then came Lucien Karrotte that he had with Maria Iglesias, and finally Flayne la Karrotte from a mysterious relation with the Unfamiliar Fundamental of Hope. He is more than aware of Flayne's affliction and curse to the Sea Witch, as his entire house is built upon a foundation of lies for her own sake, all due to a deal he should have never taken. He keeps up a mask of him changing from his past, however in reality this is far from true.
Powers
Formerly the Chosen Knight of Temperance, he used to be paired with Vlad Athanasia, chosen of Gluttony to keep him in check. Temperance chose him because he was effective at his job, as people always described him as rather cold and extremist until a certain someone came into his life. He has filled graveyards by himself, oftentimes from a single village, and those who knew him in the past are usually filled with no small amount of fear. He has since been shamed due to losing such an esteemed position, and when asked on why he has lost favor to Temperance, he will answer with a different story every single time. Though the light of the Fundamental has left him, Pascal still retains the true sight bestowed by Temperance, mastering true sight to an extent where he can turn it on and off at will.
At his prime, Pascal was a beast, and could've even taken down Unshakable Pest, one of the strongest chosen, thanks to the temperance blessing. Despite his former raw power, he would lose to Alexandra Athana due to his skills being inferior to hers. Despite his jovial nature nowadays, trying to rectify his past image, and even though he's not chosen anymore, he still keeps his true sight, which he can choose to turn on or not, and is still a force to reckon with, on par with some of the actual Chosen Knights. His current weapons of choice are spears and lances, though he used to use an axe.
