Sunken Empire of Atlantia

A once prosperous land that eventually drowned, it returned to being a functioning country over time, with no invitations for outsiders. Atlantia is composed of only seafolks, with few others non-seafolks for diplomacy reasons. Colonization, as well as research or entry without proper permission from any other major colonizing power like Great Europa has always been out of the question, because while knights are powerful, their effectiveness is greatly tempered in water compared to that of seafolk. Because of their biology that requires them to dip in water from time to time, it's very rare to find seafolk in landlocked countries. Only the seafolk of Atlantia can effectively hunt krakens, that normally would take an armada to kill. Within the depths of Atlantia there can be found breathable spaces, and mysteriously a false sun, however the reasons as for why remains unknown.

The Sunken Empire possess many imported goods that makes trade desirable for other nations, from Qliptoth Qelk who tastes great but which can also be applied to a wound like a bandage healing it faster, to simply high quality fish or other resources from the sea. The most expensive of all is Qlipqoral, whose opposite to Sapcoral, which prevents magic by generating a field around its bearer, qlipqoral however greatly enhances one's potency in magic at the cost of affecting one's sanity. If the two are in proximity the bigger coral simply overpowers the other. If one were to make a box out of sapcoral a true sighter would be unable to sense or see what's within. Those of Qliptoth know how to forge these corals into things, but it’s a rather organic kind of process that they kept to themselves. These exports are often through the black market however. The resources they import on the other hand are often seen as strange, bones of certain birds, bugs and yeast mainly.

Back during the age of myth the land was simply called Atlantis and populated by humans, the birthplace of Alexandra who told the story on how it sank many times, changing it each time. Some say the fundamentals descended upon Atlantis knowing who they worshipped before striking them down. It is rumored that the citizens of Atlantis hoped to survive, becoming the seafolk that reside within Atlantia from prayer to the Sea Witch. The main religion has remained Hope even after events that have been lost to time, they also pray to Unity and Fate to lesser degrees. Prior to such events, those of Atlantis were able to create a steel simply called Atlantian Steel, this steel has survived the tests of time and remain one of the best steels ever created, however it has not been possible to be reproduced ever since the kingdom sank, making it limited and coveted.
