Scarlet Sun Empire

The Scarlet Sun Empire is a land that holds honor and service above all, ruled by a puppet Emperor, as the true ruler is the shogun. They worship all 15 of the fundamentals, believing that they reside in all things, however Diligence is arguably the one worshipped the most. Magic is highly valued in its society, but will not grant someone a better social standing just as it is, like it may in the Jade Empire. Humans are the most prominent species, but Beastfolks like foxfolk, racoonfolk and bunnyfolk are also common, with Oni and yokais present, though in way more minor quantities.

They lack strong iron and steel, however through sheer diligence they found a way to concentrate their subpar minerals found over the land into Scarletine, a metal unique to them that is stronger than steel, but weaker than Adamantine. They often use Scarletine to forge katanas, other blades and sometimes armor, however it is costly to do so. So much so that if someone was to order a blade of Scarletine from Great Europa, it would be cheaper for them to directly have an Adamantine weapon made directly. For that reason the ones who do often are collectors wishing for a luxury item. The Scarlet Sun Empire also prides itself with the best flintlocks and muskets, being the Tanegashima matchlocks.
