Fleshsinger
Monsters
There are few voices more beautiful than that of a fleshsinger; these foul creatures travel in groups of four, forming a choir, singing in a language long forgotten. The voices of the fleshsingers are an amalgamation of those they consume, able to perfectly replicate a single voice or combining multiple to create an irresistible allure to enchant any but the strongest of wills. Appendages grow from their body in numbers as they age and consume sentient flesh. They can also graft limbs from sentient beings onto themselves, and in time these limbs will morph into a insect-like appendage. The fleshsingers are notorious for leaving their victims alive, simply feeding on the limbs; they do not go for kills and instead choose to steal limbs to assimilate onto themselves.
Combat Capabilities
Fleshsingers are never found alone. They are designated 15 Menace Marks for their extreme lethality, which is amplified by their excellent teamwork. A sole fleshsinger is still powerful, but a group is increasingly lethal, their mind-enchanting songs enhanced significantly in full choirs. Due to their ability to steal voices and limbs, they tend to devastate the morale of an ordinary combatant. Compared to other Greater Unfamiliars, the magical capabilities of fleshsingers are lacking, though they are still capable of casting a variety of spells.
Once a fleshsinger's song is heard, the listener only has a few seconds to cover their ears or drown out the voices through other means, as well as warn their comrades to do the same as well, as they'll be needed to have a chance to survive the encounter. The soprano will always lead the choir, and it's defeat must be utmost priority as it's the core of the hivemind. At this point, the fleshsingers would have surrounded the area; cohesiveness is a must, as separation will be a sure death. It's crucial to avoid it's grab attempts, as it can easily rip someone from limb to limb given a sliver of a chance. Fleshsingers are usually too fast for ordinary arrows, and thus a polearm is best in damaging these monsters; coordinated efforts of skewering them one by one has proven to be effective. However, the best way to combat these monsters is with either a Chosen Knight or a Candidate, as the odds of survival of an encounter for an average knight is near zero.
