Pippi Panini
Background
Pippi is a beginner, inept Jester with zero stage presence and no proper sense of humor. Her jokes are often extremely cheesy or self-deprecating to the point that they make everything awkward. She is also in severe debt due to her gambling addiction, spending large sums of coin on terrible bets. Her dream is to become a proper jester at the king's court, believing it would make her more confident in herself and rid her of her social anxiety. Despite hurdles, Pippi hasn't given up on achieving her dream and tries to make people smile all the same. Despite her upbringing, Pippi has fairly strong maternal instincts and is good with kids as a result.
Pippi is actually extroverted, but her crippling social anxiety makes it seem otherwise. She has other talents she's not aware of, such as possessing a silvery voice: she sings like an angel, though she would only do so alone. Pippi is actually a trained opera singer, but—due to one incident—she made a fool's errand out of thinking she might succeed more as an actual fool through sheer effort. However, she does have at least one fan that sincerely finds her entertaining and hilarious, that being Lord Tomata. Due to Pierra's lack of cooking skills, Pippi had to learn to cook even when she was only 5; she's mastered using every scrap and leftover to its fullest, and can identify an ingredient's freshness and quality incredibly well and quickly. She is willing to do a lot of things in exchange for coin, attention, or love, for she is starved of all 3.
Born from forbidden magics by Pierra in an attempt to remove all her negative faults and traits—but at the cost of her singing—all that was lost was transferred to Pippi. Pierra planned to leave the child for dead, but couldn't; she would, however, abandon her later in life.
Pippi's makeup is permanent: she experimented with an alchemist to create a cheaper, long-lasting body paint, though upon testing, it seems like it'll forever be pasted on her.
Pippi adopted Woody the Mockstump when they first met when she was simply a child with a dream. Later in life, he'd be her companion who could provide a cue for laughter with his strange noises, but she is not aware that he is laughing at how painfully pathetic her routine is, not the joke itself. Tomatoes and other vegetables are often thrown at her due to her terrible performances. She picks them from the group and makes a tomato sauce for pasta. Pippi also forms addictions very quickly: currently, she has an addiction to gambling and drinking, given the chance or funds.
Pippi, when she snaps, will often shift her entire demeanor, becoming crude and crass in the process, with her jokes reflecting as such. Insulting those around her and making darker jokes in general, in this state, she could achieve a top placement in the annual Crown Slapstick Tournament. Due to being in truth a very magically sensitive aspirant, these insults could hurt people—or worse—, and this is one of the reasons Woody watches over her: so she doesn't harm others. Her actions as 'Evil Pippi' are extremely similar to what Pierra acted like before she removed her flaws. This same magical sensitivity and insulting jokes can be self-inflicted during her normal, self-deprecating routine.
