Eldkeeper
The Oathsworns of Patience. Eldkeepers are guardians of history and knowledge, they venture into distant lands and record as much information as they could and teach them unto others so nothing is lost through the passage of time. An Eldkeeper instinctually understands all spoken languages verbally but still needs to learn how to read and write in that language.
Though Eldkeepers are mostly peaceful, they are proficient in all forms of martial warfare and even hold knowledge of lost magics. While there are many Eldkeepers, genuine ancient ones are uncommon. The more knowledge they accumulated the bigger their horns get. In turn spotting an ancient Eldkeeper is easy.
Eldkeepers tend to be defensive in combat and naturally possess great endurance and stamina. The older an Eldkeeper gets, the strong they are. They however are not immortal and eventually will die of old age. When an Eldkeeper dies, they grow into a large tree sprouting delicious fruit.
Eldkeepers absorb the latent energies of their surroundings, the longer they linger in one location, the stronger they are. In a sense; they are planting their roots and absorbing nutrients and growing taller, akin to Patience's divine form. When stationary, the Oathsworn could persist without food and water for a very long time, entering some sort of photosynthetic stasis. Eldkeepers are incredibly sensitive, they could read the wind and 'sense' the future, this seems to be more potent with age.
Oathbreaking Acts
Destroying history purposely or obscuring facts; whatever happens must be truth and only the truth.
Revenge is forbidden; one cannot be motivated by vengeance, only by righteous purpose. Self-defense is allowed and righteous purpose is dictated by one's own convictions.
Succumbing to despair; to embody the Fundamental of patience is to be able to endure all storms and plant one's roots firmly.
Tribulations
HURTS TO REMEMBER: Eldkeepers have stronger and more vivid memories than most mortals and thus they are prone to having PTSD or traumas, a mark of a true Eldkeeper is being able to push on despite of it.
WHAT TIME IS IT?: Universally and without exception, all Eldkeepers are time blind. They could regale a story for what seems to be minutes for them, but in reality it has been hours or even days.
HEAVENLY ORDEALS: Patience likes to put obstacles and trials for his followers, he would give his oathsworns his toughest ones. It would start as a simple prank, but it might lead to falling off a cliff and into a pit of man-eating monsters.
